Grow with QCUSD!
Crismon High School, the newest school in the Queen Creek Unified School District has a master planned campus of over 76 acres providing ample space to grow with the community. The school will feature technology-rich, collaborative learning spaces as well as comprehensive academics including AP and Dual Enrollment courses, athletics and arts programs. Phase I will include approximately 190,000 square feet with a capacity of approximately 1350 students. There will be spaces dedicated to STEM, Fine Arts, Health Sciences, Business and Leadership as well as athletic fields.

Elyse Torbert – Principal
Mrs. Torbert has more than 20 years of experience in public education. Prior to moving to Arizona in 2017 to be closer to family, Mrs. Torbert lived in Massachusetts where she worked at two large urban-suburban high schools just west of Boston. She has taught both math and English, has been a director for a tiered intervention program supporting at-risk students, and served as a vice-principal, associate principal, and principal.
Opening another high school is exciting and I look forward to building upon the success already achieved by Queen Creek High and Eastmark High,”

Barry Cromer – Athletic Director/Assistant Principal
In 2015, Barry was the Athletic Director of Payson High School and then made his home in Sahuarita where he served as the Athletic Director at Walden Grove High School for the past six years. During his time there he won the 4A Conference Athletic Director of the Year twice, and the AMEA Outstanding Administrator award this past year. In his six years at Walden Grove, his teams won 16 Region titles, 3 State Runners Up trophies, and 1 State title in wrestling. Barry is also the State Director of Athletic Director Mentoring for Arizona. Barry is just an overall great guy and we are really lucky to have him on our team.

Great high schools are built upon the foundation of great elementary and middle schools. Queen Creek Unified Schools received “A” rankings from the Arizona Department of Education and have received top district ratings from GreatSchools.org.
At Crismon High School, students will have access to advanced academic and honors classes taught by dedicated educators passionate about the subjects they teach. Expected offerings for the 2022-2023 school year include: AP World History, Honors English 9 and 10, Honors Biology, Honors Geometry, and Honors Ancient Civilizations. The school will also have a variety of science, foreign language, and extra-curricular offerings.

When Crismon High School opens its doors initially to 9th and 10th graders, students will have the opportunity to participate in proven strategic learning through Career Path Academies.
