Elyse Torbert – Principal

Mrs. Torbert has more than 20 years of experience in public education. Prior to moving to Arizona in 2017 to be closer to family, Mrs. Torbert lived in Massachusetts where she worked at two large urban-suburban high schools just west of Boston. She has taught both math and English, has been a director for a tiered intervention program supporting at-risk students, and served as a vice-principal, associate principal, and principal.

Opening another high school is exciting and I look forward to building upon the success already achieved by Queen Creek High and Eastmark High,

Barry CromerAthletic Director/Assistant Principal

Crismon High School is proud to introduce our Athletic Director/Assistant Principal Barry Cromer, an Arizona Native with family ties in the Valley. Barry is a dedicated husband to Anna Lea, and a father to two sons, Barry III and Michael. He graduated from Barry Goldwater High School in Phoenix and went on to Eastern Oregon State College. While in Oregon, he played college football and baseball, and then came back to Phoenix to begin a coaching career at age 20. Barry has been a Head Girls Golf Coach, Head Boys Golf Coach, and Head Baseball coach for over 15 years.

In 2015, Barry was the Athletic Director of Payson High School and then made his home in Sahuarita where he served as the Athletic Director at Walden Grove High School for the past six years. During his time there he won the 4A Conference Athletic Director of the Year twice, and the AMEA Outstanding Administrator award this past year. In his six years at Walden Grove, his teams won 16 Region titles, 3 State Runners Up trophies, and 1 State title in wrestling.
